Leeds Student Accommodation Development Submitted for Planning

The planning application has now been submitted for a new student accommodation scheme in Leeds city centre. The project, with Torsion Developments, involves the demolition of existing buildings on a patch of land between Burley Street and Park Lane for the construction of a new development ranging from six to eight storeys.

The purpose-built student accommodation would comprise 183 studio apartments, common space, study pods, a cinema room, games room, and a gym. The plans also include a roof terrace and secure cycle parking spaces.

The redevelopment of the site will significantly enhance the visual and social amenity of the area, and in particular enhance the character and appearance of the setting to the adjoining conservation area and listed buildings.
